For the safety and security of our clients, staff and property, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras may operate in and around The Whitening Spa premises.
Why we use CCTV
- To protect the safety of clients, staff and visitors.
- To deter and help investigate theft, damage or anti-social behaviour.
- To protect our property and premises.
Where cameras operate
Cameras are positioned in general and entry areas only. They are not placed in any area where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as treatment rooms or bathrooms.
How footage is handled
CCTV footage is treated as personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy. Access is restricted to authorised personnel, footage is stored securely, and it is retained only as long as necessary before being securely deleted, unless required for an investigation or by law.
Disclosure
Footage may be provided to Victoria Police or relevant authorities where lawfully required, for example to investigate an incident.
